PGMI–AMCON’ 2025 | Pre-Conference Academic Workshop 📍 Radiology Department, Lahore General Hospital 🗓️ 4th December 2025 We are pleased to share the successful conduct of the pre-conference workshop titled “Into Peer Review: Writing Articles That Meet Scholarly Standards.” Organized for Postgraduate Residents, the session focused on strengthening research writing skills and enhancing their capacity for high-quality scholarly publication. The workshop was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal, Principal PGMI/AMC/LGH, who emphasized that research is the backbone of medical progress and that empowering residents with strong academic writing and peer-review expertise strengthens not only their professional growth but also the scientific credibility of the institution. His commitment to fostering a culture of high-quality research and scholarly excellence continues to drive the academic vision of PGMI. The session was expertly facilitated by Prof. Dr. Adeela Shahid, Editor-in-Chief JSMD, who delivered an insightful and practical training on manuscript development, peer-review processes, and common pitfalls leading to rejection. Co-facilitator Dr. Ali Mansoor further enriched the workshop with valuable guidance on academic integrity, clarity in scientific writing, and aligning manuscripts with journal standards.
