The Department of Medical Education, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, successfully conducted a comprehensive workshop on ‘Developing Good MCQs’ as an integral part of the Faculty Development Program. This workshop focused on strengthening assessment skills, enhancing question construction techniques, and promoting transformative teaching practices aligned with modern medical education standards. The session was held under the esteemed patronage of Worthy Principal, Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal, whose visionary leadership continues to inspire academic innovation at AMC and Lahore General Hospital. While addressing the faculty, the Worthy Principal emphasized that ‘quality assessments form the backbone of competent medical training, and workshops like these empower our teachers to uphold excellence, integrity, and international standards in medical education.’ The workshop featured an engaging and insightful facilitation by Prof. Javed Raza Gardezi, a renowned General Surgeon, Laparoscopic Surgeon, and Medical Educationist, who shared practical strategies and international best practices for constructing reliable and valid MCQs.
