🌍 World COPD Day Awareness Walk 2025 – AMC / LGH 🚶♂️ Raising Voices for Healthy Lungs Ameer-ud-Din Medical College and Lahore General Hospital organized a comprehensive World COPD Day Awareness Walk, aimed at educating the community about the rising burden of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and the urgent need for preventive measures. The walk was led by Worthy Principal Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal, who appreciated the initiative of the Pulmonology Department and highlighted the importance of awareness in combating respiratory diseases. He emphasized that: “Community education, early recognition of symptoms, smoking cessation, and cleaner air are essential for reducing COPD-related morbidity.” Faculty members, postgraduate trainees, nursing staff, and medical students actively participated, carrying banners and messages promoting: 🫁 Early screening and diagnosis 🚭 Smoking cessation 🌫️ Reduction of air pollution 👨⚕️ Improved respiratory health practices The walk reflected the collective commitment of AMC/LGH to advancing respiratory health, strengthening public awareness, and promoting healthier lifestyles for the community.
