Final Pre-Conference Workshop on “Use of AI in Scientific Research”
The final pre-conference workshop titled “Use of AI in Scientific Research” was successfully held at Lahore General Hospital, hosted by the Department of Pathology, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College / PGMI / LGH.
The session was conducted by Dr. M. Fayyaz ur Rehman from the University of Sargodha, who served as the facilitator. Dr. Fayyaz holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Structural Biology from the University of Birmingham, UK. He is a distinguished academic and researcher, currently making impactful contributions to higher education.
With over 135 research publications and a combined impact factor exceeding 350, Dr. Fayyaz is recognized for his scholarly excellence. As a Master Trainer with the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) for the “Use of Generative AI Tools in Higher Education” initiative, he has trained more than 2,000 university faculty members across Punjab in the effective use of AI-driven research tools.
The pre-conference workshop was well attended by students and faculty members of AMC/PGMI/LGH. The presence of Prof. Dr. Nazish Saqlain, Prof. Dr. Farhan Rasheed, Dr. Maham Akhlaq, Dr. Bushra Nisar, and Dr. Hamna Salah-ud-Din added grace to the occasion.
Prof. Dr. M. Farooq Afzal, Principal Ameer-ud-Din Medical College / PGMI / LGH, appreciated Dr. Fayyaz ur Rehman for conducting this futuristic and highly relevant workshop, emphasizing its role in promoting a strong research culture within the medical fraternity. He also presented a souvenir to the distinguished guest as a token of gratitude.
