The 9th Academic Council Meeting of Postgraduate Medical Institute, Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, and Lahore General Hospital was convened on Thursday, 2nd October 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Conference Room, LGH, under the chairmanship of the Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal, PGMI/AMC/LGH. The meeting brought together members from the Clinical and Basic Sciences Departments to deliberate on significant matters pertaining to academics, administration, and institutional development. The house discussed progress on MSDS implementation, reviewed the Mortality Audit Committee report, considered permissions for upcoming conferences and academic activities, addressed admissions and faculty-related matters, and approved proposals for infrastructural improvements, including renovation of lecture theaters. During the session, the Academic Council reaffirmed its dedication to fostering academic excellence, strengthening postgraduate training, and enhancing the quality of healthcare delivery in accordance with institutional standards and regulatory guidelines. Emphasis was placed on collaborative decision-making, sustainable academic growth, and the advancement of PGMI/AMC/LGH as a leading institution in medical education, research, and healthcare services. The meeting concluded with a collective commitment from all members to continue working towards innovation, improved patient care, and the overall progress of the institution.
