A Hospital Committee Meeting was held today at Lahore General Hospital under the chairmanship of Principal Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal along with the MS Prof. Dr. Faryad Hussain. The meeting reviewed the performance of medical teams in flood-affected areas, including ongoing relief work in District Kasur. Free provision of medicines under the policy of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was appreciated. Implementation of the ‘One Patient – One Attendant’ policy, strict security arrangements, and maintenance of cleanliness standards were emphasized. Instructions were given for employees to display departmental cards during duty hours, administrative doctors to adopt an ‘Open Door Policy,’ and MS with DCNS to conduct emergency rounds twice daily. It was further directed that proper movement registers be maintained in all departments and strict departmental action be taken against absentee staff. The committee also reviewed progress on MSDS compliance and stressed the importance of timely preparations for the final visit of the Punjab Healthcare Commission (PHC).
