Seminar on “No Health Without Mental Health” at LGH The Mental Health Society, in collaboration with the Department of Psychiatry, Lahore General Hospital, organized an insightful seminar on “No Health Without Mental Health” on 1st September 2025 at 10:30 AM in the PINS Auditorium, LGH, Lahore. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal, Principal PGMI/AMC/LGH, along with senior faculty members, consultants, postgraduate residents, and medical students. Speaking on the occasion, experts emphasized that mental health is a vital component of overall well-being and must be prioritized alongside physical health. They highlighted the importance of awareness, early diagnosis, and timely treatment to reduce stigma and promote mental well-being in society. Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal appreciated the efforts of the Mental Health Society and the Department of Psychiatry for organizing the seminar. He encouraged young doctors and medical students to actively contribute towards spreading awareness about mental health and providing compassionate care to patients. The session concluded with an engaging question-and-answer segment, where students and faculty members shared their views and discussed practical approaches for promoting mental health in clinical practice and the community.
