First Academic Council Meeting under the Chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Farooq Afzal, Principal, PGMI/AMC/LGH was held in the Committee Room dated 23.05.2025 at 09:00 AM. The salient features of deliberations and decisions of the meeting are as under: Meeting started with recitation from the Holy Quran. The meeting commenced with the warm welcome of all committee members by the newly appointed Principal, PGMI/AMC/LGH. Lahore. Prof. Dr. Farooq Afzal. In his opening remarks, he extended a warm welcome to all faculty members. He expressed his readiness to accept the challenges of leadership and emphasized the need for collective efforts to uplift Postgraduate Medical Institute (PGMI) and Lahore General Hospital. -Prof. Afzal encouraged all faculty members to join hands for institutional progress. He invited open discussion and urged faculty members to share problems along with possible solutions. He assured them that all suggestions would be taken seriously and that he would strive to address the highlighted issues to the best of his ability. Faculty were also requested to submit written notes regarding unit-specific concerns along with feasible solutions. Principal Prof. Farooq Afzal concluded the meeting by thanking all participants for their active involvement, constructive feedback, and commitment to institutional development. He reaffirmed his dedication to team-based leadership, transparent reforms, and faculty empowerment.
